About thogata veera
Thogataveera Kshatriya Community, the descendants of Maharshi Pushpandaja Muni and the devotees of Sri Chowdeshwari Devi are generally identified as Weavers Going by their ancestral profession viz.,Weaving. Owing to Low profile nature of their economic activity, the entire community remained economically backward and socially un-integrated for generations. Education levels remained low. As a consequence of all these, the community remained un-represented at the political and administration levels. Though few institutions emerged here and there, their growth was not visible. The congregation of Thogataveera Kshtriya held in the year 1999, in Bengaloru, resolved to have a Gurupreetha.
Highlights
As it was felt that apart from economic up-liftment of the community, there should be philosophical enrichment of ones lives and this is possible only through the Institution of Guru and Gurupeetha. The search was on for a Guruji, the place and the resources. After more than 7years of struggle, the great and the first institution of Thogataveer Kshtriya Gurupeetha has come thro, for which all of us are proud of.

August 10th - August 15th 09 Swamiji is starting his expedition all over Bangalore Purva Thaluk wherever our Thogataveera Kshathriya community live.This tour is to awaken all the community people to unite there essence through their culture and coustom.This tour will cover the villages ( Kannamangala, Bellikere, Seegehalli, etc )
August 6th 09- Swamiji has been invited for All Karnataka Weavers Association function in Chithradurga, KARNATAKA. In this function all the communities ( thogataveera kshathriyas, Devangas, Padmashalis, Kuruhina Shettis, Shakulashalis) will get together for a new unit.
August 5th 09 - Chowdeshvari festival. Chikkagondanahalli, Chithradurga.
JULY 22ND to 26th 09 - Yoga & Pranayama camp with spirituality wil be arranged in Y N Hoskote tumakur dist, KARNATAKA, for five days. Swamiji will teach yoga, pranayama and meditation. He will also render spiritual speech in these seven days.
